§ 54-41. Parking on public streets.

  • (a)

    Declaration of interference. It is hereby declared by the city commission that the parking of vehicles upon public streets interferes with the removal of snow from the public streets. It is necessary that, for preservation of the public peace and safety, the parking of vehicles upon the public streets of parchment between certain specified hours be prohibited.

    (b)

    Hours prohibited—Private motor vehicles. No person, firm or corporation shall park or allow to leave standing upon the public streets of the City of Parchment, any private motor vehicle or obstruction between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

    (c)

    Hours prohibited—Commercial vehicles and recreational equipment. No person, firm or corporation shall park or allow to leave standing upon the public streets of the City of Parchment any commercial vehicle, commercial trailer or any recreational equipment from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

    (d)

    Penalty for violation. Violation of this article shall be a municipal civil infraction with civil penalties as set forth in chapter 1, sections 1-21—1-30.
