§ 58-49. Limitations on wastewater discharging.

  • No person shall discharge, convey, or permit to be discharged or conveyed into the wastewater system any wastewater of such character or quantity that it will:

    (a)

    Deleteriously affect the wastewater system or carry through the system untreated any pollutant regulated by the NPDES permit issued to the city; or

    (b)

    Constitute a hazard to human or animal life or to any watercourse receiving the treated effluent or the wastewater system; or

    (c)

    Violate any pretreatment standards hereinafter established; or

    (d)

    Cause the wastewater system to violate its NPDES permit or other applicable receiving water standard; or

    (e)

    Discharge to a sewer any substance which will result in nuisance, or contamination or pollution of receiving waters; or

    (f)

    Permit any condition which would violate any statute, rule, regulation or ordinance of any public agency, including the Environmental Protective Agency.
