§ 30-14. Exceptions.

  • This article shall not apply to the sale of any article herein named which is sold to be transported out of the city or the sale or use of explosives in the firing of salutes by official authority, not to the sale or use of blank cartridges for a show or theatre, nor for signal purposes in athletic sports, nor by railroads, nor to experiments at any factory for the manufacture of explosives, nor for the sale for use, or the use by the militia or police officers, nor by any organization of war veterans, nor in teaching the use of firearms by experts on the days other than holidays, nor to discharge of firearms on the premises of established rifle and trapshooting ranges and gun clubs, duly authorized by permit therefor issued by the city commission in accordance with such regulations as the city commission may from time to time require; and further provided, however, that on application to it, the city commission may allow fireworks displays under circumstances agreeable to the city commission.
