§ 30-2. Obstruction of police officer or firefighter.

  • Any person who shall, in any manner or way, disguise himself or herself, or provide a false or fictitious name or address to a police officer or member of the fire department for the purpose of obstructing, delaying, hindering, preventing or interrupting the police officer or member of the fire department in the performance of their duties, irrespective of whether such purpose is achieved, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00 or 90 days in jail, or both.
