§ 28-1. Definitions.

  • Outdoor furnace , sometimes referred to as a "hydronic heater" shall mean any boiler, stove, furnace or other device designed, intended or used to provide heat and/or hot water to any residence or structure, which operates by the burning of wood, coal, corn or other type of solid food and which is located outside the building which it is designed, intended or used to provide heat and/or hot water. "Outdoor furnace" shall not mean any device which is fueled by natural gas, propane or fuel oil, provided that it has been inspected and approved by the city's building official or his or her designee.
